My Thoughts:
A mystery that kept me guessing with fun characters. Marla and Dalton are supposed to be on their honeymoon but they were invited with an ulterior motive in mind. Bad things have been happening and their relatives are hoping they can help. Marla's inquisitive nature gets her deeper into the mystery and closer to the truth, though all she wants to do is relax with her husband. She also has her shears with her, just in case. She might be on vacation but it is hard to leave work behind completely. I just really like Marla and found this to be an enjoyable mystery.

Review: Warrior Lord by Nancy J. Cohen

My Thoughts:
This is the third book in the Drift Lords series, but I think you would be fine starting anywhere. I love this series and I've been curious about Magnor with the one name, beard, sword, and cape. He may be a warrior, but he's no match for Erika Sherwood, the woman he meets and marries in a Las Vegas casino. As they work together to save the world, Erika comes to terms with the fact that she married an alien and has powers she didn't know about while Mangor tries to decide if he is worthy of having her for a wife. I loved both characters and enjoyed their story. A fun combination of action, adventure, sci-fi, mystery, mythology, and romance. I loved this book and cannot get enough Drift Lords.

Review: Hanging by a Hair by Nancy J. Cohen

My Thoughts:

Fun mystery. I just love Marla the hairstylist. She has a new husband who is a detective and a teenage stepdaughter. She just can't seem to help poking her nose in when her neighbor is murdered. This was my first Bad Hair Day mystery, but I felt comfortable jumping right in. This was a perfectly crafted mystery with interesting characters that pulled me in and kept me second-guessing myself whenever I thought I knew who did it. I highly recommend this if you like a fun, easy mystery read.

My Thoughts:

I am officially hooked on this series. It is  a combination of sci-fi, fantasy, mythology, action and steamy romance. Each book stands alone but are part of a larger story. I love the characters and I am caught up in the story. In this book we have Paz, the team communications specialist who was lost at the end of the first book. He ends up on Jen's set as she is ready to film a commercial for a video game. She agrees to help him get back to Florida but soon finds out all about Trollecks and the heritage that she never knew about and they need to work together. The story grabbed me from the beginning and didn't let go. Now I can't wait for the next book! This is something different and if you like steamy romance combined with action and fantasy, sci-fi or mythology, check out the Drift Lords.

My Thoughts:
This book is such a mixture and once I got into it, I really enjoyed it. There are elements of sci-fi, fantasy, mythology, paranormal, and humor wrapped up in a steamy romance. There is quite a bit going on, but it works. Zohar is the leader of the Drift Lords and is trying to save Earth and everyone else and ends up getting involved with Nira who has special powers that she never knew about. A fun, action-packed, steamy read. The next book in the series is out now and I can't wait to get to it.
