Friends With Multiple Benefits (FWB#6) by Luke Young : Blog Tour Review

Friends with Benefits Series Description:

Best friends Jillian Grayson and Victoria Wilde could not be more different. Victoria, a young widow who has really gotten on with her life, is wild, carefree, and living life to the fullest while Jillian, recently divorced, is a bestselling romance novelist who is straight-laced, proper, and reserved. That is until Jillian meets Brian Nash, the young, hunky best friend of her college-aged son. These two women provide the vantage point on the hilarious and steamy world of the Friends With Benefits.

Filled with strong, sexy women and fun-loving, real men, the books are at once playful and very sexy; light but large-hearted. If you love sexy contemporary romance with a healthy dose of fun then this series is for you.

Friends with Multiple Benefits Summary

When newlyweds Jim and Victoria return from their Vegas wedding, Victoria dives full swing back into her sex therapy practice. With the addition of a new, let's call him, unique client, along with a couple of old surprise visitors, there is never a dull moment in the naughty professional's home office.

While Brian and Jillian are in full expectant parent mode and with twins no less, Jillian's movie opens to great success. Just when the famous author thinks she's gotten Amanda Joseph out of her, and more importantly her husband's hair, the A-list actress returns and in a big way.

With the continuation of Jillian's series of novels heading to the small screen, she's looking forward to the promise of a huge financial windfall, but will the price tag be too much to bear.

Will Jim and Victoria survive her new clients? Will Brian and Jillian have boys or girls or one of each? And will Jillian's movie's box office triumph be the end of her career or her marriage or both. Find out in Friends With Multiple Benefits.

Friends with Multiple Benefits
Luke Young Bio:

Luke Young's uniquely funny and sexy Friends With Benefits series is what happens when you take a happily married guy who enjoys watching Judd Apatow comedies and force him to watch every episode of Sex and the City (at least that's the story he's going with!).

Luke is the author of the Amazon bestselling five-book Friends with Benefits series, along with the prequel, Friends Wanting Benefits and several stand alone comedies including, his personal favorite, a parody of Gone Girl.

You can find Luke at www.lukeyoungbooks.com or write to him directly at lukebyoung@gmail.com.

Young also writes "spicier" books under the pen name Ian Dalton. If you like your sexy comedy heavy on the sexy, be sure to check out Dalton's Victoria Wilde series. For more information on how Ian Dalton's Victoria Wilde series relates to the Friends With Benefits series please see the “Who Is Ian Dalton" area of his website. http://lukeyoungbooks.com/who-is-ian-dalton/

WiLoveBooks Review:
This whole series has been fun and inappropriately hilarious. The fun continues in book 6. Jillian and Brian are preparing for the birth of twins. Amanda Joseph is back and causing more trouble. Brian ends up in more embarrassing situations. Victoria is as over-the-top as always. Things wrap up very nicely in this book. However, I wouldn't be opposed to more books about these crazy friends.

Friends With Way Too Many Benefits (Friends With Benefits #5) by Luke Young

Description:
As Jim and Victoria learn to live together and raise their new baby, Jillian and Brian embark on a challenging and hilarious struggle to conceive one of their own. Getting pregnant seems like a piece of cake compared to what's involved in bringing Jillian's novel to the big screen as an unwelcome guest and an ill-advised celebrity free pass complicate matters immensely.

Featuring expanded Ian Dalton scenes, this book is also the continuation of the steamier Victoria Wilde version of the series. The optional "Ian" scenes are easily skipable by readers who prefer the Luke Young variety.

Containing summaries of all four earlier books, Friends With Way Too Many Benefits is also a great place to join the series. Come to know this wild, fun and amazing group of characters who share far too much with one another and where no dare, practical joke or topic of conversation is off-limits. So whether you are new to it or been following this group of friends around since the beginning, you are sure to have "Way Too Much" fun with Way Too Many Benefits.

My Thoughts:
I have two words for this series: hilarious and inappropriate. I can't help but laugh out loud, but this series definitely isn't for the easily offended. Some time has passed since the last book. The Leg Thing is being made into a movie. Brian and Jillian are trying to get pregnant. Brian gets into some more crazy situations. Hilarious but you have to feel bad for him. There are marriage proposals and celebrities. Natalie is back and I don't hate her as much anymore. This is just a fun, funny read.

Friends With Extra Benefits (Friends With Benefits #4) by Luke Young

Description:
The long-awaited next chapter in the Friends With Benefits series, Extra Benefits, is part romantic suspense, part legal thriller, part medical drama, part steamy erotic romp, and part screwball comedy.

Victoria, Jillian, Brian, Jim, Caroline, and Rob are back in book four, the 400-page epic next chapter in the "Friends" series. Who will prevail in the Brookhart v. Grayson trial? Will Victoria have a boy or a girl, and will she finally find happiness? Will Rob figure out what the hell is going on with his mysterious and unstable boss, and will Brian find a career? Will you be able to get through the steamy chapters without tossing your e-reader to the floor and chasing your partner around the room?

The answers to these and many, many other questions are found inside Extra Benefits.

My Thoughts:
I think this was my favorite so far. I am hooked on these characters and want to know what happens to them. I can't stop reading. There is a crazy trial, a premature baby. Rob gets mixed up in some things with his employer and finds a woman to fall in love with. You just never know what is going to happen in one of these books. If you are new to these books, the first is free. I highly recommend this series for anyone who loves crazy, laugh-out-loud humor mixed with romance and is not easily offended.

Review: Friends with More Benefits (Friends With Benefits #3) by Luke Young

Description:
Victoria, Jim, Brian, Jillian, Rob, Laura and Caroline are back with more eye-opening revelations, steamy triangles and sexy surprises in the third book in the Friends With Benefits series.

As Jillian and Brian's destination wedding date nears, Jillian's just released novel's complicated success threatens to destroy their big day. While Rob's new job grows extraordinarily more mysterious Brian's becomes infinitely more unfulfilling and both struggle to find the answers. Victoria finds it more and more difficult to hide her secrets and when they are finally exposed there is no shortage of collateral damage. When thoughts are revealed will the wedding be ruined, will Jillian's career survive and will everyone forgive Victoria?

My Thoughts:
I just cannot stop reading these. More of the same inappropriate hilarity in this installment. This book picks up right where the last left off. Brian and Jillian are planning their wedding. There are bachelor and bachelorette parties. Jillian is getting sued over her last book. Victoria is still awesome, even though she's pregnant how. I feel bad for her. Jim is acting like an idiot and I want to punch him. Much is left unresolved. Must read the next. Now.

Review: Friends with Full Benefits (Friends with Benefits #2) by Luke Young

Description:
For best-selling romance novelist Jillian Grayson, writer's block is a thing of the past now that her clandestine relationship with her son's best friend, Brian Nash, has lifted her out of a post-divorce funk. The prospect of breaking the news to her son seems daunting, but it's nothing compared to the nightmare of meeting Brian's superstrict, off-the-wall, disapproving parents.

After Jillian, Brian and his younger brother Jim, learn an eye-opening secret about the Nash parents they all go scurrying back to Miami where Jillian's best friend Victoria finds Brian's sexy, but innocent college senior brother to be just what the doctor ordered. But when Jim comes on a little too seriously, will Victoria lose interest and return to her life of casual fun or will things get even more complicated?

Friends With Full Benefits is the second book in the Friends With Benefits series. And although the stories are connected, they can be read on their own and book two is a great introduction to the hilarious and complicated world of Jillian and Victoria.

It's an edgy and somewhat raunchy romp filled with humor, sex, romance, passion and surprises. Full Benefits will leave you laughing out loud, slightly worked up and maybe even chasing your spouse or partner around the bedroom...

My Thoughts:
I read the first book a while back and I'm finally getting around to reading the rest.  (WiLoveBooks review of book 1.)  I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. This one is hysterically funny. I was alternately laughing out loud and rolling my eyes at their antics. Jillian and Brian are settled into their relationship and now their families are finding out. Victoria is hilariously over-the-top. I just love her complete outrageousness.  Just a fun read with crazy plot twists that have me wanting to read the next book right now.

Review: Chances Aren't by Luke Young

Chances Aren't by Luke Young

Description:
Ben Lossman hates his life; he just doesn't know it yet. When his marriage falls apart, he gets the chance most of us never do...to go back and find out 'what if'. And in the process, he comes face to face with the last person he ever expected to see.

Sometimes it takes a second chance to realize you made the right choice the first time around. But for Ben, will that revelation come too late?

Chances Aren't is a funny, sexy story that will take you back. It contains explicit language and scenes and is intended for mature audiences.

My Thoughts:
I loved this. So funny. It is a guy romance filled with guy humor. The story starts out by showing us just how pathetic Ben's life is, then he gets a chance to change things. Makes you wonder:  What would happen if you had a chance to go back and do things over? Just a really fun read. Different and funny and I couldn't put it down.

Review: Chocolate Covered Billionaire Navy SEAL by Luke Young

Chocolate Covered Billionaire Navy SEAL by Luke Young

Description:
Heir to a chocolate empire, Brock Fullman joins the elite Navy SEAL team in order to avenge the death of his high school sweetheart. With his billionaire family one bad day in the stock market away from the dreaded "Mm Mm Mm..." word (Yes Millionaire... he's the only family member who can actually say it), he's torn between the woman he must marry to guarantee his family's future and the new woman he secretly loves. Out for revenge, will he destroy the company, his family, himself and all those around him in the process?

Chocolate Covered Billionaire Navy SEAL is a short story (approximately 18,000 words) and falls somewhere in genre between a romantic comedy and contemporary romance parody.

The "SEALionaire" is sometimes off-the-wall absurd, sometimes steamy, but always funny. It contains explicit language, sexual content, features a hot, rich, let's call him unique, military man, a bitch we love to hate, lots of chocolate (some might argue too much) and a handful of not so bright terrorists. It's intended for mature audiences and a complete work with none of those pesky cliffhangers!

**Please also note that 20% of the proceeds from the sale of this book, through the end of 2013, will be donated to charities whose mission it is to help military families.

My Thoughts:
A quick, fun read. The hero is a billionaire and a part-time Navy SEAL who has ten-pack abs (and other parts of his anatomy are equally impressive). He is supposed to marry a woman he doesn't really like for the sake of his family, yet there is another woman he is interested in. The romance genre is so easy to make fun of and this short story does a wonderful job of it. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Very entertaining. Don't forget to read the author's note. It explains how the story came together.

My Rating: ****
Steam Factor: !!!!

Strong language, some violence.
