Review: Water (Akasha #1) by Terra Harmony

Water (The Akasha Series) by Terra Harmony

Description:
Elemental powers in the palm of her hand...and it won't be enough to save her. When Kaitlyn Alder is involuntarily introduced to a life of magic, she becomes part of an organization hell-bent on saving the Earth. Just as her new-found life holds promises of purpose, romance, and friendship, the organization divides and a rogue member holds Kaitlyn hostage. Now one of the most terrifying men the human race has to offer stands between her and Earth's survival.

My Thoughts:
First off, I love the cover. I normally don't pay much attention to covers, but this one caught my eye. As for the story, I thought the concept was original. It is a paranormal with some romance and has an eco-friendly angle to it. The organization that Kaitlyn becomes part of is out to save the world. Some of the characters, including Kaitlyn, have magical powers that come from the earth and are related to the elements.

The story starts off with action and the main character's story comes out gradually. There is plenty of action and the story is pretty fast-paced and keeps your attention. Kaitlyn's character is feisty and resourceful and she is put into situations where she shows that she is a fighter. This is the first book in the Akasha Series. The next book, Air , is out and I plan to read that as well. If you are a fan of paranormal romance and are not put off by the more disturbing aspects of the story, it is worth a read.

My Rating: ****
Steam Factor: !!!!
**Notes: There is a rape.
