Review: A Perfect Blood (Rachel Morgan #10)

A Perfect Blood (The Hollows) by Kim Harrison

Description:
Ritually murdered corpses are appearing across Cincinnati, terrifying amalgams of human and other. Pulled in to help investigate by the FIB, former witch turned day-walking demon Rachel Morgan soon realizes a horrifying truth--a would-be creator is determined to make his (or her) own demons. But it can't be done without Rachel's blood, in this latest blockbuster by a "New York Times"-bestselling author.

My Thoughts:
I love this series. Why? I love the world. There are magical people and non-magical people and there is a whole history that I find fascinating. There is action. Rachel Morgan is basically a magical bounty hunter (she is a witch), but she sort of evolves through the series and we find out more about her. The characters are great. Her best friends are Ivy, a living vampire, and Jenks, a pixy who swears very colorfully and inventively and makes me laugh. There are also various other interesting characters who come and go.

I'm sad that I am finished reading this book because I want more! Usually by the 10th book in a series I am ready for it to be done. There are still plenty of loose ends to be tied up and I am ok with that. I would like to see Rachel end up happy. She's getting there in this book, but she's not there yet.

My Rating: *****
Steam Factor: !
